Pappy’s Garlic Teriyaki Chicken Thighs
No need to turn on the oven in the summer heat! These skillet Pappy’s Teriyaki chicken thighs are cooked right on the stove.
Serves: 4-6 people
Ingredients
4 cloves of garlic peeled and chopped
1 bottle Pappy’s Teriyaki Sauce
6 chicken thighs
Green onion for garnish
Instructions
Combine together the crushed garlic and bottle of Pappy’s Teriyaki Sauce
Pierce each chicken thigh with the tip of a sharp knife all over to ensure a faster cook time. This also helps the sauce absorb through the chicken instead of just coating it.
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the chicken for about 4-5 minutes each side, (depending on the thickness of each chicken thigh) until golden brown and nearly done(you will cook more with the sauce in the pan)
Drain any excess fat from pan
Pour in the sauce to evenly distribute you may not need the whole bottle just enough to thoroughly coat the chicken with more to use as a pour over sauce when done. Cover and cook for a couple minutes.
Uncover and continue to cook until sauce thickens and reduces down about 3-4 minutes. Coat each thigh with sauce and then remove from pan onto a bed of rice or steamed vegetables. Top with green onion and serve
